We do more than just sharpen. Here are a few examples
Each chain that we receive is thoroughly cleaned in a degreasing cleaner by hand and wire brush. It is then sharpened to factory specs using a CBN (Cubic Boron Nitride) grinding wheel. We DO NOT use a stone wheel when sharpening your chain. The rakers are then inspected and filed if necessary. The chain is then oiled and if received unpackaged, placed in a plastic container for transport and storage.
Every mower blade to be sharpened is first cleaned by hand and razor blade. It is then sand blasted to remove rust and remaining debris. The blade is then sharpened, precision balanced, and painted (yes, painted !).
All saw blade blades are first inspected for any damaged or missing carbide. It is then cleaned by sandblasting the outer edge of each side of blade, gullets, and teeth. The cutting teeth faces are then sharpened using a diamond grinding disc. When completed, the blade is given a quick light coat of dry lube to clean and shine your finished product. We make sure that each finished blade that leaves our shop is packaged for safe handling and transport.
****** We take proper care of thoroughly cleaning all items we receive before sharpening. These are only a few examples. Please see or Services/Pricing page for a complete listing of items we sharpen. If you don't see it on the list, give us a call !
